	General Duties Policing As a Police Officer, you’ll be required to undertake a minimum of 2-4 years of general duties policing working at police stations, where you’ll learn the foundation skills for your career. General Duties shifts are 8 hours in length and can be day, afternoon or night shifts. Police

In local communities right across Victoria, from the heart of Melbourne to the most remote country towns, you will carry out a range of duties that are diverse, rewarding and challenging in helping keep the community safe.

Protective Services Officer

Make a difference keeping our train stations safe. You will engage with and provide a safeguard for the 400,000 people who travel on our trains each day.

Police Custody Officers

Over the next few years, Victoria Police will continue to employ Police Custody Officers to work across 22 locations in Victoria. As a PCO, you will support Police Officers to supervise persons in custody and be a valued and appreciated member of your local Police team.

Victorian Public Service

Victoria Police employ about 3,400 support staff in a range of challenging roles across the state. You will provide essential assistance to Police Officers, the organisation and the community.
